Wang Jingye is a top student in the top ten of his grade. He looks obedient and sensible, and is a model student in his teachers' eyes, the "other people's child" every parent talks about. Yet he hides a dark side no one knows about. Tired of insincere praise, he longs to shatter the illusion of perfection.
Shen Peisheng is an average student in the class, the sort who makes himself at home with everyone. Outside school, however, he's a feared delinquent, capable of anything from brawling to getting into fights.
Throughout their three years of high school, they were merely students in neighboring classes, strangers who happened to cross paths with no connection between them. Then a class-placement exam brought them into the same class.
