When I woke up, Lady Jade appeared beside my hospital bed and announced, "You've been promoted, P35."
Something was off. Good luck never came my way unless an even greater misfortune was waiting for me.
Lady Jade gave me an amused look. "You'll be transferred to the Strategic Investment Department's Bad Asset Liquidation Team, reporting to Aventurine of the Ten Stonehearts. Your first assignment after the transfer: find the missing Aventurine and bring back either him or his cornerstone."
A friendly reminder:
1. The pairing is with Aventurine.
2. The title and blurb may change after I start posting, but the memes in the blurb won't.
