After simply taking a nap, Xuan opened her eyes to find herself in another world.

In a dim, dilapidated old house, Jiao, who had also lost her memories, became her roommate. They were supposed to be meeting for the first time, yet those sky-blue eyes seemed inexplicably familiar.

A great fire at a church seven years ago severed the history of the magical world. Everyone connected to it forever fell silent, and the Holy See of Light brought it all to an end with blood and tears.

The pendulum kept swinging. With every tick and tock, people gradually realized that something was wrong. The war back then seemed to have hidden circumstances, and the Holy See of Light was concealing something as well.

The two joined hands to cross snowy plains and deserts, slowly uncovering the truth hidden in an abandoned town.

Sometimes Xuan would wonder who the all-knowing golden-haired girl beside her really was, and why she lived alone in seclusion in an old building overgrown with plants.

But the other girl would only shake her head and hold out a hand. Before Xuan could think, her own hand had already fallen into it.

Jiao herself did not know how long she had been in this world. Only in recent years had the memories of the clock tower barely begun to fill the blank spaces in her mind, but it still was not enough. The most crucial period, seven years ago, remained a mystery.

She could not even remember why she had fled to the forest. She had only sensed, in the quiet hours spent with books day after day, that the world was changing, and that something about its direction seemed wrong.

Xuan's arrival confirmed her suspicions, but the plan that went a step beyond them had only just come into view.

"You and me, this building, this room, this bed." She looked into Xuan's eyes.

The person across from her froze in place.

The church collapsed once again, and two figures stumbled out.

At last, this time they could get some proper rest.

Amid the wind and falling leaves, the two leaned against a tree, laughing.

A few things to know before reading:

1. The only couple in the entire story is the main pair (Xuan x Jiao). It has a happy ending, with the younger one as the top. They will not break up or switch roles, and there are no other side couples! Their parents have passed away and are mentioned, but there is no extensive emotional depiction.

2. Both the top and bottom have their strength affected and suppressed. They gradually level up in the early part and regain their full power later on. They are injured by the villains along the way.

3. There are male side characters! This is not an all-female world! There are men in the main group and women among the villains. Men and women have no differences in status or talent, so please read with care if this bothers you!

4. The setting is fictional, and everything is original to this story. There are not many descriptions of magic or spellcasting; it is mostly an ordinary story set in a magical world. My apologies to readers who enjoy magical duels.
