A crossover between Honkai: Star Rail, Marvel, and DC. You can enjoy this even if you haven't read or watched any of them.
The protagonist is an original character in my own Honkai: Star Rail universe, but has nothing to do with the main or side stories of Honkai: Star Rail. He has no custom backstory where he knows any Honkai: Star Rail characters.
The protagonist is a Masked Fool who can impersonate others and wield their powers. This is a secret identity story.
A practice project. For my next book, I'd like to write an ensemble story crossing Honkai: Star Rail and Marvel, if I have the perseverance to finish this one.
Blurb:
Vesta was an insignificant, ordinary member of the sea of stars. He studied normally, took exams normally, looked for a job normally, just like any other ordinary person.
Then one day, he stood on a rooftop and looked down. Exhaustion and helplessness made the emptiness inside him unbearable, so he couldn't help asking the unseen stars a question.
Was fate predetermined, or was it still unwritten? If fate was predetermined, what was the point of everything we'd done so far? If fate was uncertain, then what was the unpredictable variable?
Then a red smiling mask sprang into his field of vision and let out an infectious laugh.
[Hahahahahahaha...]
For some inexplicable reason, the Aeon of Elation, Aha, had noticed him.
If he had to guess why, it was probably because his question had made Aha laugh.
Aha's mask gave him the abilities he needed to have fun, but he himself had no idea how to have fun.
Driven by the mask, Vesta began wandering everywhere, constantly playing other people and searching for the reason Elation had taken notice of him.
The protagonist is a drifter, running around all day to complete a daily task of having fun. He's rather slow to feel things and rarely experiences much emotion.
I made up the main plot. It'll be mixed with side stories from Honkai: Star Rail, and the settings will be on the DC and Marvel sides.
