The Wicked Have Their Own Admirers

Zhong Shuo x Si Zhuoyuan

(True) male ghost seme vs. flamboyant, arrogant modern-day uke

1.

Si Zhuoyuan had always done whatever he pleased. After his family cut off his allowance, he won the favor of a famous director with nothing but his looks and charisma. He glanced through the male lead's profile, then casually accepted the offer to act, all because of the paycheck listed in the contract.

This male lead was just a cowardly emperor who had lost his kingdom and family. What was so appealing about him that it took the director seven years to finally start filming?

On the first day of filming, the sky was gloomy and gale-force winds nearly toppled the long table draped in red cloth. They blew the incense sticks and candles all over the ground, but the portrait at the very center remained perfectly still on the table.

Chewing on a piece of candy, Si Zhuoyuan watched the pale-faced director coldly.

The director's back was soaked through. He asked Si Zhuoyuan, steeling himself, "...Why aren't you paying your respects?"

"Pay my respects to him?" Si Zhuoyuan gave a laugh, thinking of the man who often appeared in his dreams, whose face was exactly the same as the one in the portrait.

He sneered. "I'd be better off paying my respects to myself."

Such outrageous behavior naturally brought its comeuppance:

A building that vanished without a trace, a foul, fishy smell, and a green light that appeared like clockwork at midnight.

A friend went missing, a top-tier star kept refusing to share the stage with him, and a Southeast Asian master traveled thousands of miles to kneel before him...

Strangest of all, he'd recently started having frequent wet dreams. In his more than twenty years as a straight man, he'd never imagined that one day a man would ride him from behind in a dream.

Si Zhuoyuan suddenly remembered that when he was very young, a fortune-telling blind man had said he was destined to be haunted by an evil spirit.

Haunted by an evil spirit, haunted by an evil spirit...

Damn it! Who knew this was how the bastard would haunt me?
