I suffer from an incurable case of skin hunger.
A doctor suppressed my symptoms and put them into a deep slumber, but the price was that I could no longer get close to humans.
And I am a vampire. Unlike the lowly man-eating ghouls, human blood is our food. We have no interest in limbs or organs.
A vampire who couldn't drink blood? Naturally, I became the laughingstock of my kind.
I lived in seclusion in the quiet mountains. Man-eating ghouls lived on the neighboring peak, but at first I paid them no mind. As long as they left me alone, that was fine.
Until they started a forest fire that spread to my mountain.
I fled down the mountain in a fury and unexpectedly encountered a blond man wearing a haori, with a long sword at his waist.
The man-eating ghouls mistook me for a human and tried to attack. Just as I was preparing to fight back, the blond man came rushing over with a shrill, unmanly cry, scooped me up, and leaped to safety.
...Oh no.
After years of slumber, my skin hunger had been awakened again at the worst possible time.
I wrapped my arms around the blond man's neck, gritting my teeth, unable to tell whether I was trembling with joy at feeling someone's skin against mine, or furious that after years of restraint, I'd failed at the last moment.
Perhaps it was both.
I bit the blond man's ear. "Idiot. Since you caused this, you're responsible for seeing it through."
The blond man: "Huh?"
"You awakened my skin hunger. The cure is..."
My red lips parted, and I softly uttered those two blissful words.
"Huh? Huh?!?" The blond man's face quickly turned red, his ears so flushed they looked ready to drip blood.
The Demon Slayer Corps' Thunder Hashira brought back a beautiful woman.
At first, people thought she was simply the Thunder Hashira's lover, until someone caught her pinning him against a wall and sucking his blood.
Sakura Kizuna clicked her tongue softly. "I've been found out. Looks like it's time to leave."
As it happened, the half-demon Naraku had recently invited her to join forces, claiming he could cure her condition.
And so Agatsuma Zenitsu, already completely lost in love, was cruelly abandoned.
One day, six months later, Sakura Kizuna was walking through a crowded city at Naraku's side when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"You're not allowed to find someone else to be your cure."
