[Ultraman Gaia] While Earth Sleeps

At the end of the 20th century, the photon quantum computer Crisis made a prediction: the Root of Ruin, a being that would bring about the end of everything, was about to descend. When it did, humanity and all civilization on Earth would be destroyed.

One day in the early 21st century, a gigantic ultramarine polygonal crystal passed through a wormhole and hovered over Tokyo.

An extraterrestrial biological weapon, the Cosmic Organism Vanguard, had arrived.

That same day, Gamu Takayama, a member of the Alchemy Star, grasped the light, and a scarlet Giant of Light descended from the heavens.

When the crisis that would destroy the world arrived, every living thing on Earth, humans, monsters, Ultraman...

would struggle to the very end to stay alive!

Content warnings: The author’s personal preferences are involved, so the protagonist Gamu Takayama is female from birth. Some supporting characters are also gender-swapped, but no spoilers for now.

The story is set in a fictional millennium, so some communication devices, social media, and technology differ from those in the real world.

The scientific knowledge in this story has not been rigorously reviewed and inevitably contains many basic errors. It is pseudoscience, so please be prepared and don’t scrutinize its scientific accuracy.

The story follows the original plot, with some reasonable extrapolation and elaboration. There are scenes involving male/female characters and the female and male leads, but these are intended to make the plot work. The author is responsible for the original settings and any out-of-character portrayals.
