■ Transmigration story.

■ Past and present lives | Both physically and emotionally devoted | Emperor and empress romance

After transmigrating as the only daughter of the Grand Marshal, Jiang Xihe was betrothed by Prince Rong to his adopted son.

An adopted son who had turned his back on his family to serve as Prince Rong’s scapegoat.

On their wedding night, Jiang Xihe discovered that this man was the living Bodhisattva she had heard people talk about on Guanyin’s birthday.

When they first met, he had saved a dying stray cat before the Buddha.

Jiang Xihe had raised it for three years.

When they married, he told Jiang Xihe his name was not Zhu Yujing, but Xie Baiyan.

He said Jiang Xihe was the only one for him in this life.

Three years later, Prince Rong died, and Xie Baiyan became the new ruler of Yingrong. After years of lying low, at last his plans were coming to fruition.

Xie Baiyan built her the tallest hexagonal glazed tower in the capital. He wanted to hold her hand as they climbed high, gazed into the distance, admired the changing seasons, and took in all the mountains and rivers.

He said he would make her the empress of Da Zheng.

Baiyan, Baiyan.

He was the emperor of all under heaven,

and also her Zhu Yujing alone.

■ [Highlights]:

1. A very down-to-earth transmigration, with no golden finger. She only brings a bracelet connected to her past life, though it doesn’t matter much.

2. The male lead is a schemer, a Buddha in public and a devil in private. He fights and grabs his way to the top using any means necessary.

3. The dynasties are a mash-up in a fictional setting. History buffs, proceed with caution!

4. A little melodrama. The ending is up to fate.
