The Grapes Climb Upstairs

[Monthly Subscription] [Complete Short Story] Modern Romance, Female Lead's Perspective

Chen Wan x Bai Chong

The confession from the upstairs neighbor came a little late

It wasn't limited to cuddling.

The first faint touch between their lips and teeth.

Bai Chong didn't know how to describe the feelings stirring within him.

Instead, during a brief pause, Bai Chong gazed up with misty, glistening eyes.

Bai Chong: "I really like Xiao Wan."

Chen Wan's delicate nose brushed lightly against Bai Chong's clean, high-bridged nose. In a low, bewitching voice, she said, "I know."

Bai Chong: "Since when?"

Chen Wan bit his lips to keep him from speaking, rubbing their lips together. "...The glass... bottle... was delivered upstairs. One year, when we were picking grapes..."

She'd known for a very, very long time.
