Ever since she presented as an alpha at eighteen, Shen Yunzhou has been plagued by a special condition: pheromone agitation disorder.
"When you smell pheromones that are too strong, you become very irritable and have trouble controlling yourself," the doctor tells her.
"Is there a cure?" she asks.
"There is. You just need to be soothed by pheromones when an episode strikes."
Well, that leaves her in a real bind.
But one day, Shen Yunzhou finds a special kind of medicine.

Shen Yunzhou first meets Chen Su when she's on the verge of an episode. Strangely, she feels much better as soon as she gets close to him.
Only when Chen Su calls the police to report her for sexual harassment does she learn that he isn't a beta. He's an omega whose pheromones have no scent.
The next time she sees Chen Su, he's crouched by the roadside, holding a sign that reads:
"Young and strong, willing to work hard. I'll do any kind of job."
"Any kind of job?" Shen Yunzhou repeats, looking at Chen Su's face. "Why not sell yourself to me?"
Chen Su: "This isn't feudal times. Besides, even though I'm an omega, I have a condition."
"My pheromones have no scent at all. Why would an alpha like you buy an omega with no pheromones?"
Shen Yunzhou smiles faintly at Chen Su, who's bristling. "What a coincidence. I have a condition too."
[Bonus Scene]
At first
Chen Su: "Don't get too close to me. Don't go near my glands, don't mark me, and don't use your pheromones to suppress me..."
Later
Chen Su: "Baby, kiss me."

1. Girl-boy romance! Girl-boy romance! Girl-boy romance!
2. It's female alpha/male omega, but the female lead won't have a huge size difference. I mainly wanted to use the pheromone setting, with some original worldbuilding.
