Zhuang Ci, an undercover agent, died on a mission and transmigrated a thousand years into the past, to the Great Zhou dynasty. She had become Zhou Aidi, the historically short-lived ruler of a fallen dynasty. Only then did she learn that this emperor from history had actually been a woman in disguise!
Zhuang Ci's grandfather was one of the scholars who studied Great Zhou history. His most admired figure was the last powerful minister of Great Zhou, or rather, its ambitious villain: Prime Minister Song Wen.
Song Wen was a man surrounded by too many mysteries for later generations. As famous as his later overbearing rule was his contradictory nature. He drew countless researchers and became the historical figure most often reimagined and romanticized.
Her grandfather had sighed more than once: "With foreign invaders threatening Great Zhou, Song Wen was the last line of defense, the dynasty's final backbone."
Her grandfather had also said, "Song Wen was important to everyone in Great Zhou, except..."
"Except?"
"Except Zhou Aidi... Song Wen seemed mild and modest on the surface, but was actually suspicious and cruel. Imagine how miserable it must have been to be emperor under someone like that!"

After transmigrating, Zhuang Ci thought of her grandfather's words and stared silently at the imperial crown on her head.
A young eunuch beside her lowered his eyes and trembled as he said, "Your Majesty, the prime minister requests an audience!"
Her grandfather's words immediately came to mind: As for Zhou Aidi, Song Wen first despised her, then came to hate her deeply.
"Your Majesty?" The young eunuch was anxious. The prime minister was not someone to trifle with.
Zhuang Ci: "...Don't panic."
Let her take a moment.
