Officer Matsuda Is Surrounded by Admirers Again Today

Matsuda Jinpei was a member of the Explosives Disposal Unit in the Security Bureau of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. After his childhood friend died in the line of duty during a mission, Matsuda transferred to the First Investigative Division four years later. When a criminal threatened to send the location of the next bomb just three seconds before it exploded, Matsuda died on a Ferris wheel.

By all rights, Matsuda should have been in heaven by now, or on the road to the underworld to meet his childhood friend. But when he opened his eyes, he found himself alive again. Yes, alive in the literal sense. A medical miracle! (Not really.)

A black, curly-haired cat beside him said it could let him be reborn, and Matsuda agreed.

After arriving at the police academy, Matsuda met a young man with long blond hair who claimed to be his classmate. Matsuda had no memory of this classmate, though he had heard of him in his original world.

When he got to his dorm room, Matsuda found it empty, yet full of signs of someone living there. Judging by the scene, someone had been in the room before him.

Combined with the classmate he had no memory of, it was safe to say he hadn't been reborn, but had arrived in a parallel world.

The black cat nodded. Due to some unknown accident, he had ended up in a parallel world, and the cat was very sorry.

Which meant he might run into another version of himself from this timeline.

Sure enough, before long, the door swung open, and another Matsuda walked in.

The two Matsudas stared at each other, wide-eyed.

Later, when everyone was reunited and they talked about it, Academy Matsuda asked Future Matsuda, "Hey, weren't you nervous back then?"

Future Matsuda calmly adjusted his sunglasses. "Of course not. Do you even know who I am?"

In reality, when Matsuda saw the other Matsuda, he looked calm on the outside while sweating bullets on the inside. (Big Matsuda: Hey! Don't expose me like that!)

Of course, even though the one who had arrived by accident wasn't from the past but from a parallel world, Big Matsuda still diligently worked alongside his classmates. Once Little Matsuda learned what was going on, he joined Big Matsuda in helping out.

A few days after Big Matsuda arrived in this world, something happened that completely upended everyone's worldview.

At noon, another Matsuda would appear beside Future Matsuda.

And each Matsuda was different: there was Black Matsuda, Undercover Matsuda, Shrunk Matsuda, Fairy-Tale Matsuda, Gender-Swapped Matsuda, Cat Matsuda, Nunu Matsuda, Wizard Matsuda, Reaper Matsuda, Heaven Matsuda, Little Matsuda, Detective Matsuda, Ghost-Story Matsuda, Teacher Matsuda, and more.

Fortunately, each Matsuda returned to his original world the following day.
