A Female Doctor Comes to the Grasslands [The 1960s]

Yu Wanning, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine doctor, transmigrates into a period novel as a fake heiress doomed to a tragic fate.

The original girl followed love to the grasslands, but never even got to meet her beloved, the male lead Shen Yu. Within a few years, she died young, frail and melancholy.

The newly arrived Yu Wanning has one thing to say: Men?

Can men really be better than a career?

With silver needles lined up and sleeves rolled up, she sets to work. Medical care and medicine are scarce on the grasslands of the 1960s, but now a young educated woman named Yu has arrived, with skin like cream and extraordinary medical skills.

The old matriarch's rheumatic leg pain, the herdsmen's chronic coughs, and all kinds of stubborn ailments: under her skillful care, they are cured in no time.

Gradually, Yu Wanning's reputation spreads. While the other young intellectuals are still hungry, cold, and struggling to get by,

she receives gifts from the herders: milk skin, dried meat, and even a little lamb...

Yu Wanning: There's no way I can eat it all.

As the original novel's male lead, Colonel Shen Yu is cold and ruthless, keeping everyone at arm's length.

After a letter from home tells him that a girl has followed him to the grasslands, Shen Yu replies without expression: The military has strict discipline. I will not discuss personal matters.

Colonel Shen has renounced love. What does he care about women?

That is, until the commune organizes a Nadam fair. Several young men roll up their sleeves and fight until they're bloody to propose to Doctor Yu.

A stern figure storms into the fray, then walks toward her through the swaying grass and cheers.

"Comrade Yu, the champion of the grasslands earns the right to propose to the girl he loves."

"Will you accept me?"

Yu Wanning is dumbfounded.

Colonel Shen, when did you break your vow to renounce love?
