Atobe BG
Dad runs a popular pastry shop, Mom is the chief prosecutor, and my older brother turned down a professional career, though he was the ace of his middle school's badminton club. My older siblings shine in their respective fields, too.
"I want to become an outstanding prosecutor like Mom when I grow up!" The childish voice was firm.
Minamoto Kinzuryo attends the junior division of Hyotei Academy. Her biggest worries right now are her completely unthreatening appearance and how to make friends and improve her social skills.
There isn't much she can do about the former for now, so she'll just have to work hard on the latter.
While she was hesitating over who she wanted to befriend first, the other person beat her to it.
There are always setbacks along the road to success. (Nods.)
Fortunately, she learned from her previous failure and took stock of what went wrong. The second time, she successfully carried out her plan and made progress on her friendship quest.
Encouraged by this, Minamoto Kinzuryo set out on her own journey to make friends.
"Atobe? Oh, he's a really wonderful person." She gave a glowing review of the person who had nearly become her first self-initiated friend.
Her childhood friend, Kazama Yuki, wore an unreadable expression.
"I kind of feel sorry for my dear big brother." She even used an honorific, which was unusual for her.
"I don't need it." The purple-gray-haired boy kept a straight face. If you didn't notice the tips of his ears turning red, you might actually believe he was as calm as he looked.
After weathering the wind and rain, a young shoot grew toward the sun. As Minamoto Kinzuryo worked toward her goal, she gradually realized that Atobe, whom she called a friend, might be more than just a friend to her.
The familiar rose-shaped chocolates appeared before her again, but this time they held a different meaning.
OOC warning. My writing is amateurish and still being polished.
The story is mainly based on an original world setting, so some unusual words will appear. (I'll explain them in the author's notes.)
* (Underlined for emphasis) I like having different stories set in the same world. (They're also sorted into categories in my profile.)
* A crossover of all kinds of manga, anime, games, and novels I've read or played that seem like they could fit in one world. (So there are all kinds of pairings, and some get a brief mention. Read with caution if that bothers you.)
Theme: Straightforwardness is the best
