Blurb: Jiang Qingyu meets a man whom everyone respectfully calls Mr. Yu.

The second time Mr. Yu sees her, he hands her a dating contract and asks if she is willing to be his canary.

The smile fades a little from Jiang Qingyu's face. "I think you've got the wrong idea, Mr. Yu."

Mr. Yu is briefly taken aback.

She thinks they will never cross paths again, but Mr. Yu starts pursuing her, without a contract this time. Jiang Qingyu thinks it over and accepts.

After all, Mr. Yu has broad shoulders, a trim waist, and long legs. He's mature and handsome, and basically a walking ATM. Jiang Qingyu likes him quite a lot.

They date for over half a year, and their relationship grows more and more stable.

Jiang Qingyu accidentally drops her phone and breaks it, so she has to take it in for repairs. The phone is fixed, but unfortunately, the chat history cannot be recovered.

After picking up her repaired phone, Jiang Qingyu messages Mr. Yu, but he doesn't reply. Mr. Yu is very busy, and Jiang Qingyu is busy with work too, so she puts it out of her mind.

But an hour passes, then three hours, then a whole day, and she still hasn't gotten a reply.

Later, an assistant answers the phone and says Mr. Yu has been in a car accident and just regained consciousness. Then the assistant gives Jiang Qingyu the hospital's address.

Jiang Qingyu rushes to the hospital. Mr. Yu is reclining halfway on the hospital bed, still looking cold and handsome, though a bandage is wrapped around his head.

Before Jiang Qingyu can say a word, Mr. Yu speaks, his voice colder than she has ever heard it: "Who let you in? Get out."

Jiang Qingyu: ?

Mr. Yu has lost his memory. He has forgotten everything that happened over the past year and thinks Jiang Qingyu is his kept canary.

Jiang Qingyu: "I'm really your girlfriend. If you don't believe me, look at our chat history. Where's your phone?"

Mr. Yu: "It's broken."

Jiang Qingyu: "..."

Mr. Yu: "Then I'll look at your phone."

Jiang Qingyu: "...My phone broke a couple of days ago too. All the chat history is gone."

The man looks at her coldly. "I've lost my memory, not my intelligence."

Jiang Qingyu: "..."
