I've Long Had My Eye on My Gentle Adoptive Sister

[Ten-year age gap] [Adoptive siblings]

Blurb:

Falling in love with his own sister was the most rebellious thing Yu Yang had ever done.

While everyone else was young and uncertain about love, she struggled with a torment she had to keep hidden.

Then, after the college entrance exams, their mother confessed, "Actually, your sister was adopted."

-

Yu Yang followed all the tricks she had learned online, drawing her sister in step by step:

She claimed she couldn't get used to living in the college dorms and begged to move in with Yu Shiyou. Yu Shiyou agreed.

She used the alcohol as an excuse to collapse into Yu Shiyou's arms and pester her for a goodnight kiss. Yu Shiyou didn't push her away.

She deliberately let it slip that she was dating a girl. Yu Shiyou flew back that very night to stop her, cornering her in the entryway and demanding to know who the other girl was.

Thinking that her slow-and-steady approach was finally working, Yu Yang summoned up the courage to confess her feelings.

But the woman responded with a coldness that made it clear she wanted nothing to do with her.

-

They spent two years apart, and Yu Shiyou rarely saw her younger sister again.

Then, when she next received a call, it was to tell her that Yu Yang had been in an accident and was unconscious.

Rushing to the hospital, the usually composed woman lost her composure. She kept vigil outside the ICU all night, and finally faced the feelings she had avoided for so long.

A few days later, Yu Yang woke, looking bewildered. She had forgotten her completely.

"Excuse me, who are you?"

Yu Shiyou was silent for a long time, then replied with a complicated, bitter tone:

"I'm your... older sister."

She had been ready to stop running away, but now there was no chance.
