By the time Fu Junzhu turned thirty, he had unexpectedly ended up alone and with a vast fortune, so large that he couldn't spend it all even if he were more extravagant than he'd been in the first half of his life.
With a wave of his hand, he donated the money and found a mountain where he could build a school.
He had conquered many high peaks with a guide, piloted helicopters, gone skydiving, and glided through the deep blue skies at ten thousand meters without the slightest fear...
But on his second day in the mountains, Fu Junzhu was stumped by a log he couldn't split. He gripped the axe, at a complete loss.
Ye Li appeared just then. A child of the mountains, he could do anything in these towering, verdant peaks.
He wore nothing but a tank top, his strong arms showing off well-defined muscles.
Their eyes met. For the first time, Fu Junzhu saw someone with such pure, clear eyes. The scent of nature swept over him, like a breeze blowing down from the mountain.
One day, Ye Li noticed a tiny hole in Fu Junzhu's ear cartilage and asked what it was.
Fu Junzhu said, “An ear cartilage piercing.”
Ye Li asked, “What's that?”
After hearing the explanation, Ye Li was astonished. He had thought Fu Junzhu was the most proper and refined person around, but it turned out he had piercings not only in his ear, but also in his brow, lip, and even above his navel.
Fu Junzhu smiled brightly. “Didn't expect that, did you? I'm a delinquent.”
The deep forests high in the mountains could not contain their flourishing love. They chose to elope, escaping this cliche, rigid cage.
