Can an Honest Beta Be Coveted Too?

Just an ordinary Beta.

Ji Yi grew up in the slums. The only shining moment in his life was getting into an elite university that admitted only the nobility.

And as a result, amid the envious stares of everyone around him, he became a highly educated corporate drone working 996 hours a week, with the constant risk of being fired at the slightest misstep.

"Too bad he's only a Beta..."

That was the sentence he'd heard most often since birth.

Then one day, after being fired by his company, he unexpectedly found a tall, exceptionally handsome Omega on his way home.

Ji Yi had gone a long time without the comfort of family. Feeling sorry for the Omega, who was bullied and discriminated against because of his build, Ji Yi took him in.

Even though his own life was already difficult enough, he was willing to take on another job to support him.

To help him manage his emotions, Ji Yi even hired another Omega student in the same situation as himself to counsel the poor kid.

But as Ji Yi kept looking after him...

He somehow turned a perfectly good Omega into an intimidating top-tier Alpha.

The sweet, attentive younger brother suddenly transformed overnight into the fearsome second young master of the Qin family.

And the Omega student Ji Yi had specifically hired to counsel him suddenly bared the sharp fangs of an Alpha as well.

The people who used to mock Ji Yi were now all insanely jealous.

The only exception was Ji Yi, who had agreed to the other's confession just a few days earlier. He left Qin Shuo in the middle of his rut and fled in a panic, saying only one thing.

But even that didn't let him escape the other's grasp.

A year later, Ji Yi only wanted to find an ordinary job, but somehow ended up as an executive assistant. Suddenly, in a hotel room, the boss he'd never met before pinned him against the wall.

Panicking, Ji Yi was about to shout and struggle, when the voice behind him sounded so, so familiar.

"I knew you'd run away in the end, no matter how hard I tried to pretend. The first time you brought me home, I should have locked you to the bed just like this."

"Isn't that right, my dear older brother?"

[Unhinged green-tea, ghostly Alpha x honest, stammering Beta]

Reader's guide:

1. The protagonist remains a Beta throughout. He will not become an Omega.

2. Happy ending, both are each other's first and only.
