Let Me Borrow Your Golden Finger (The 1970s)

In his previous life, Ning Feiyan was disfigured in a factory fire. Han Yu, his neighbor in the same residential compound, was praised for his heroics during the accident and successfully became a permanent employee. Even the person Ning Feiyan had planned to marry chose Han Yu instead. After that, nothing ever went right for him. People kept comparing him to Han Yu, and every time, Ning Feiyan was made to look worthless.

Only after being reborn did Ning Feiyan learn that he had originally been blessed with extraordinary luck. The reason he'd been so unlucky in his previous life was that Han Yu had a System that could predict other people's actions and steal their luck. That was why Han Yu had clung to him.

One day, Ning Feiyan, back from the dead, suddenly realized he could hear Han Yu's System announcements.

System: Host, hurry! Director Zhang's child is about to fall into the river. Ning Feiyan will happen to pass by and save him, earning Director Zhang's favor.

Ning Feiyan narrowed his eyes and stopped Director Zhang's little rascal before he could go play by the river. Han Yu, meanwhile, squatted by the river in the icy wind all night, and successfully fell ill the next day.

Just like that, with Han Yu's golden finger, Ning Feiyan reclaimed the life that had originally been his. He also started a family with Tian Jia, who had likewise suffered misfortune and had her luck stolen in their previous life. Together, the couple escaped their cannon fodder fate and built a life that made everyone in the residential compound green with envy.
