When Monsters Descend on an All-Girls' High School

At 10:00:00 on May 5, 2027, every living thing in the world fell asleep for one second.

At that moment, Linjiang No. 1 High School was holding its centennial sports meet.

The grounds were packed with people, and everyone was in high spirits.

Jiang Chi, a second-year student in Class 6 and the school's biggest napper, opened her eyes in a sleepy daze.

The ground sank, and countless compound eyes emerged from beneath it. Sticky, revolting, and uncanny, the wet-eyed spheres trapped everyone who had fallen unconscious, devouring every living thing that opened its eyes.

Jiang Chi, who happened to wake up: ?

After that day, only two kinds of people remained in the contaminated world.

The infected and those who had awakened supernatural abilities.

And Jiang Chi was unlucky enough to be neither.

Burning with a fever and barely conscious, she used the last of her strength to smash the first monster to death.

When her mind cleared, a voice suddenly spoke inside her head.

[Compound-Eye contaminant eliminated.]
