The first time she saw that cat was on a rainy day.
Through the hurried crowd and dazzling array of umbrellas, Chen Yu's eyes happened to meet a pair of deep blue eyes.
They say when it comes to adopting a cat, if you hesitate, you lose. But she didn't even like cats.
The second time she saw that cat was downstairs in her apartment complex.
Chen Yu could barely take care of herself, let alone a cat.
She bought a box of cat food, left it beside the cat, then patted its head.
The third time she saw that cat was at her front door.
As soon as she opened it, the cat eagerly rushed inside.
How rude. She hadn't even said she would adopt it.
After that day, Chen Yu seemed to get a lot luckier.
A popular variety show reached out to her, a hit drama based on a hit IP invited her to play the second female lead, and a video of her and the cat gazing into each other's eyes unexpectedly went viral online...
It looked like a lucky cat had moved into her home.
--
Chen Yu's parents divorced when she was one, and each started a new family. She became a burden no one wanted.
As she grew up and became more beautiful, her father took her in and introduced her to others as a relative's child.
Her half-brother spread rumors all over school that she had an improper private life.
Her father only wanted to use her to curry favor with business partners. For two years, he drugged her food.
Her first role in the entertainment industry had such a bad character that people started attacking her personally. Online, even liking her became a sin.
The mother who had treated her best told her to take ten thousand yuan and go back wherever she came from.
She didn't need ten thousand yuan to buy sleeping pills. She used the money she had left to buy cat food.
She hoped the cat would be happier than her.
Later, that cat barged into her home.
She watched a variety show with the cat in her arms. The next day, she got an offer to appear on the show.
She read a novel before bed. The next day, she received an invitation to audition for the second female lead.
On top of that, the brand of cat food she often bought approached her to be their spokesperson and offered to supply a year's worth of food for her cat.
Her cat seemed to be able to spit out gold coins.

Yu Xuesong was betrayed by his younger brother and froze to death in a cold-storage room.
The struggle over the title of heir had always been like that. He hadn't been ruthless enough, and there was nothing more to say.
But he never expected to become a cat after dying. Maybe Granny Meng had been slacking off at work and forgot to give him her soup, so he was reincarnated with his memories intact.
Unfortunately, he was a stray cat in this life. On rainy days, he didn't even have a piece of cardboard to shelter under, and people shooed him away whenever he went somewhere crowded.
Until he saw Chen Yu.
He had watched that drama and had genuinely felt for her character. He didn't think she was bad, only that she'd met the wrong people and had been unlucky.
Later, the girl brought him a whole wall's worth of cat food, but she looked terribly pale, as if she needed a cat to take care of her.
So he followed her home.
After getting online, Yu Xuesong belatedly realized that he hadn't been reincarnated at all. He had simply come back to life as a cat.
What can a cat do?
A cat can do a lot.
--
Yu Xuesong can turn into a human.

It's been raining nonstop in Chongqing lately. I was crouching downstairs in my apartment complex when I suddenly saw a beautiful cat, and that's where I got this idea.
My friend said this is what you fantasize about when you're so poor you're about to die (just kidding).
