My Cold-Hearted Roommate Became My Boyfriend

Lin Shangwan sighed.

The "grudge" between them had begun two months earlier.

At the time, Lin Shangwan had just graduated from college. She wanted to make her way in a big city, but her family only wanted her to return home and take the civil service exam.

Her family didn't expect much of her. They thought that a girl should settle down safely at home. The pay in a small city might be low, but the work was stable, and she could stay close to her parents.

That would be a perfectly happy life.

Lin Shangwan didn't see it that way.

She wanted to make the most of her youth and explore the world, so she stayed in Beijing on her own.

Renting in Beijing was a major expense.

Her family still worried about her, so her mother, Tang Lihua, asked a close friend to let Lin Shangwan stay with her college classmate and best friend of twenty years.

Lin Shangwan's parents were the tough-talking, soft-hearted sort. They kept saying they didn't support her, but in truth they cared deeply and wanted to help.

In any case, Lin Shangwan moved straight into that home.
