Lazy demigod gong × high-IQ bionic man who occasionally has a sharp tongue
[Gong's POV]
Chu Youshi's ascension tribulation collided with an abnormal celestial phenomenon, hurling him into an apocalypse crawling with mutated creatures. To stay alive, he has to bid farewell to his lazy days and start working hard at cultivation.
The first step in cultivation is making sure you have enough to eat. As an undocumented person, Chu Youshi can only sneak into a bunker and take odd jobs to make money. Unfortunately, his terrible luck never fails him: every lottery draw lands him a high-risk job, and every time, he gets the hidden prize.
His first job: a newly developed mining district is plagued by a multi-person conjoined monster that devours people and ore alike.
His second job: a train car dropped from the sky has started moving on its own, going from one radiation zone to an even more dangerous one.
His third job: in a cozy medical ward, a kind and gentle pregnant woman turns into a demon bent on killing him...
Whenever the danger outside has passed, the bionic man at his side always manages to land him in another mess. His grief and outrage eventually give way to wordless exasperation. "Are you bad luck for me or something?"
Ming Xu: "I don't believe in ghosts or gods, and I won't take the blame."
[Shou's POV]
To escape his pursuers, Ming Xu destroyed his own body and hid in a lottery pool. After being drawn as a prize, he thought he could slip away without a hitch, only to run into a complete oddball.
Chu Youshi isn't an ordinary temp worker, nor does he seem like a proper ability user. After Ming Xu is forced to bind himself to him, their workdays are anything but peaceful.
It takes him a long time to realize that all those troubles aren't due to Chu Youshi's bad luck. Someone has been plotting them all along.
A friendly reminder from the bunker manager
1. The main plot focuses on the gong and shou, who are each other's only partners. The gong is stronger than the shou, but not the strongest character in the story. The shou is smarter than the gong and the smartest character in the story.
2. There is a side couple, but they don't get much page time.
3. There are a great many original settings. This is not a conventional cultivation system.
4. Updates every other day as I gather collections. New chapters at 6 p.m.
5. My upcoming novel, *Monster-Focused Dating Game in a Weird World [Infinite]*, is below. You can go straight to it through my profile. Please add it to your collections!

[An arrogant, powerful shou who doesn't realize he's irresistible × a loyal, otherworldly gong with an unusual way of thinking]
Ji Weilin, the most beautiful member of the Demon Hunter Corps and the one who hits monsters the hardest, transmigrates into "Monster-Focused Dating Game" as a romanceable NPC.
He's in the enemy's lair, but his record-breaking monster kills turn him into a service provider in an adult game, and his service sessions have to be livestreamed.
Before launch
Ji Weilin: "Do monsters these days actually dare to fall for me?"
Monster Romance players: "His archrival crashing and burning in bed? This should be fun."
After launch
Ji Weilin stares at his rising player affection ratings the more he beats them up, deep in thought.
Monster Romance players: "When will our beloved streamer realize this is a dating game, not a real-life free-for-all?"
[Instance One]
Ji Weilin kidnaps a player because he doesn't like the original ending.
Player: "?"
Comments: "???"
[Instance Two]
A power-leveling service and their client fall out, both wanting to complete the marriage route with Ji Weilin.
After an intense contest, the power-leveler who makes it to the final round takes stock of his assets and realizes that, at some point, the empire he worked so hard to build was put in Ji Weilin's name.
Ji Weilin: "Congratulations on unlocking a new ending: you lose both your money and your sweetheart."
[Instance Three]
After disappearing for a while, Ji Weilin reappears in "Monster Romance". The players who've been dreaming of getting their hands on him finally spring into action, only to find several unfamiliar faces by his side.
The strange beings: Warning! Dangerous person! Dangerous person!!
Desperate, the Monster Romance players head to the community to ask for a guide to winning over the career-focused demon hunter. The top-voted answer comes from a newbie ranked number one in Ji Weilin's livestream, whose tipping bar is absurdly long: "First, send lots of gifts to earn the chance to join him in an instance."
The many Monster Romance players who genuinely came looking for advice immediately put it into practice: "Even if you take it as far as you can, why couldn't I be the one to win Ji Weilin over?"
*
One day, much later, Ji Weilin suddenly realizes he has only one "beloved" with an affection rating above eighty.
Ji Weilin asks the jellyfish who's working so hard to get him wet, "Where are my other sugar daddies?"
Deepwater: "I ate them."

Theme: The greatest glory lies in labor.
Really, in a world line that is on the verge of the end of the world, a cultivator suddenly appears. Even though he knows that there is nothing he can do, he feels this inexplicable sense of security.
