A benevolent Daoist priest × a mad, hedonistic "sickly" emperor

Rumor had it that the Yiyong Imperial Jade Seal, said to grant its bearer dominion over the world, had resurfaced, plunging the age into chaos as factions fought each other to the death.

During one of his wanderings, Si Yu happened to meet a Daoist priest with baffling cultivation who was unaware of his own abilities. Si Yu discovered an unknown secret about him and began changing his identity to stage one encounter after another. Thus began a story with a beginning and an end.

Shen Zhuo said with conviction, "This nonexistent object is nothing but a menace. Everyone who has tried to seize it has died. Are you really going to get involved in this mess?"

Si Yu replied playfully, "No one can resist fighting over something that could change their entire life."

But the menace was his 'own' self!

The man sitting beside him laughed freely.

Shen Zhuo wondered uneasily: Could he know?

From beginning to end, that man was a thoroughly ruthless mastermind. Whatever the circumstances, he never let himself be pushed around. His aims were far more numerous than Shen Zhuo had imagined.

A petty man, a swindler, a dog emperor, an evil spirit, a beloved.
