Aloof young master x sweet, adorable reporter
She falls for him first | Marriage before love | The aloof prince breaks his rules
Zhong Zhiling first met Yu Chengyi at her grandfather's funeral, at the lowest point in her life.
Her grandfather, the one person she'd depended on, had passed away after a serious illness. She crouched by his grave, secretly crying, just as a cold rain began to fall.
As the cold numbed her, a warm cashmere coat wrapped around her helpless figure.
The man's features were calm and composed, his manner refined and reserved. His voice was as steady and reassuring as the crisp, clean scent of cedar about him. He leaned down slightly. "Miss Zhong, would you like to come with me?"
The coat still held the warmth of his body. It was one of the few comforts she'd had that day. Almost without thinking, Zhong Zhiling clutched the edge of it and chose to go with him.
Only later did she learn that the man was the youngest son of the prominent Yu family of Beicheng, a family of great influence and prestige. He had been asked to look after her for a while.
Afterward, he handed Zhong Zhiling a business card.
"If you ever need help, you can call me."
Yu Chengyi.
Zhong Zhiling's fingertips traced the gold lettering on the card. At that moment, she felt her heartbeat skip. She repeated his name to herself, and it seemed as if those three characters had been engraved in her heart as well.
-
Zhong Zhiling knew she and Yu Chengyi came from completely different worlds. She thought their connection would end there, but a twist of fate and a misunderstanding led to their marriage.
Zhong Zhiling would always remember that night. The man was as bright and serene as moonlight, his eyes reflecting nothing but her.
He asked, "Miss Zhong, would you marry me?"
At that moment, Zhong Zhiling's heart pounded like a drum.
-
After they married, Zhong Zhiling and Yu Chengyi lived under the same roof. In their marriage of convenience, Yu Chengyi fulfilled his duties as a good husband. He protected her, cared for her, and respected her.
But he didn't love her.
In the end, Zhong Zhiling gave up hope. She left a divorce agreement behind and went out of town on a business trip.
The day after she sent the divorce papers, a male colleague walked her back to her hotel. After she said goodbye to him, someone abruptly pulled her into an embrace carrying a cool, alluring scent.
The once distant and self-possessed young master was travel-worn. His long fingers pressed against her soft lips, as if punishing her. Yu Chengyi's voice was low. "Didn't you say you only liked me?"
"Why are you smiling at other men?"
-
Everyone knew Yu Chengyi was famously chaste and kept women at arm's length. But one day, they noticed that his phone's simple default wallpaper had been replaced by a cute, pink, hand-drawn picture of two people.
When someone asked about it, warmth filled Yu Chengyi's eyes. "My wife likes it."
One day, Zhong Zhiling was in a hurry to leave for work. Before heading out, she stood in the entryway and checked her schedule for the day.
After confirming everything, Yu Chengyi beside her suddenly said, "You forgot something."
Zhong Zhiling looked puzzled. "What?"
The next second, the man's warm breath brushed her lips.
"A good-morning kiss for your husband."
Reading guide:
1. Both leads are each other's only partners. Happy ending. The male lead is a few months older than the female lead. They are each other's first love. She falls for him first, and he falls in love after they marry.
2. There is a fake heiress and real heiress trope, but it doesn't play a major role.
2. The male lead is chaste and completely devoted. This is a new character type for me to write. A warm, sweet romance, around 200,000 to 300,000 words.

Good-natured, hearing-impaired girl x rebellious bad boy
Possessive pursuit | Living under one roof | Second male lead wins
Ji Peiyi's parents had once helped the Si family. When she was sixteen, her parents passed away, and the Si family took her in.
Ji Peiyi stood awkwardly in the Si family's villa. She happened to look up and meet the gaze of the boy on the second floor.
Dressed in a white T-shirt, he leaned lazily against the railing and looked down at her.
The Si parents introduced them. "Si Yao, this is Peiyi. From now on, she'll be your little sister."
Si Yao gave her a careless smile. "Nice to meet you, little sis."
Everyone in the Si family treated her well, but Si Yao was especially kind to her.
Yet the way he looked at her was like a damp, cold snake coiling tightly around her, making Ji Peiyi shiver.
Ji Peiyi could tell that his feelings toward her were far from ordinary. Grateful for the Si family's care, she could only cautiously keep her distance from Si Yao.
-
Fortunately, things stayed peaceful after that. Ji Peiyi got into the university of her dreams, moved out of the Si house, and started dating someone.
Her college life was uneventful, but her boyfriend offended Si Yao. When he heard that she'd once lived with the Si family, he asked her to plead with Si Yao to go easy on him.
With no other choice, Ji Peiyi got in touch with Si Yao, whom she hadn't spoken to in a long time.
At the time, Si Yao was holding a black helmet and sitting lazily in the stands at a racetrack. He seemed entirely unsurprised by her arrival.
Ji Peiyi went up to him and stammered out why she'd come, begging him to leave her boyfriend alone. Si Yao smiled. "Sure."
"Break up with him and be with me, and I'll let him go."
-
Her secret relationship with Si Yao lasted only a year.
Ji Peiyi couldn't bear Si Yao's overwhelming possessiveness. Without telling him, she applied for a government-sponsored study abroad program. On the day she left the country, she sent him a breakup text on her own and blocked him everywhere.
She thought time would dilute Si Yao's possessiveness toward her.
Si Yao was so carefree. Surely he'd forget her before long.
A year later, Ji Peiyi returned after completing her studies. The Si family's elders invited her back for a welcome-home dinner.
The whole family came, except Si Yao. During the conversation after dinner, she learned that he was far away in Jiangcheng, and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
At the elders' insistence, Ji Peiyi stayed the night at the Si home.
Late that night, as the house lay quiet, Ji Peiyi went downstairs for a glass of water. Si Yao, who was supposed to be thousands of miles away, appeared before her, still as handsome as ever.
"Peipei."
The man's long fingers gently brushed her cheek, their coolness making her shiver.
"I've finally waited for you."
Reading guide:
1. Both leads are each other's only partners. The male lead is a few months older, so there is no significant age gap. The female lead has had a boyfriend before. The male lead is chaste, devoted only to her, and completely faithful.
2. The male lead has little sense of morality and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Please don't read if that's not for you.
3. More details may be added later.
Theme: Love
I don't know what I'm writing in the last few chapters. I just wrote them without logic to catch up on the progress.
I guess I'll have to ask for leave later [rolls eyes]
These chapters are a bit logically confusing and messy, just to keep up with the progress.
I was very excited when I knew I would write this second generation novel, and I really like this setting. However, the feeling of being serialized and followed during this period is really bad. It was the first time I followed a serialized article. I was very angry and annoyed while waiting for the article. I was really disappointed. Now it is finished. I said that I haven't seen the extra chapter at the end of the month. I just kept deceiving the readers. In the end, it was just random writing. It was really sloppy and sloppy. I didn't explain what should be explained, so it ended in a hurry. That's it. I hope the author will be fully prepared before writing another article next time.
Why are you in such a hurry to finish it? It's too sudden. It's finished just after I started talking about it. Please write more.
Does the author still remember the extra story you mentioned?
It's October 3rd, what about the extra episode?
Why did it end just as soon as it started 😭 I can't bear to let it go, let's have more sweet daily life [joined hands]
As expected, there will be no updates today. There is too much content and various reasons. I will update in the early morning.
I finally waited so hard for the copywriting. [Hold your thighs] [Hold your thighs] Come on, tell me. I have a long mouth just for speaking clearly.
