*What should I do when my agent tells me to ride the coattails of my former boss and ex-boyfriend after I join a voice-acting variety show?

Jiang Xun, a minor celebrity with no ambition, can't even get away with slacking off. His new agent shoves him into a voice-acting competition show as a trainee.

Before filming begins, his new agent pats him on the shoulder and earnestly tells him to flirt with the handsome mentor to boost his profile and grab some traffic, so he can make it onto the trending list.

But when Jiang Xun looks at the profile of the handsome, popular mentor, his face twists.

Agent: "What? Do you have a grudge against him?"

"Um... He's both my former boss and my ex-boyfriend."

On the show, mentor Tan Yu is visibly heartbroken as he tells the trainees about his inexplicably dumped first love:

"It's better to have some experience before you record a romance scene. The first time I fell in love, I'd even drive out of my way after work to buy him food. Then I went home and got dumped. That's when I finally understood."

Everyone in the room takes notes. Only Jiang Xun, the very person who dumped the mentor, curls up like a quail and dares not make a sound.

Later, after Tan Yu asks for the 108th time why he was dumped, Jiang Xun finally loses patience.

He looks at Tan Yu and lists all his own personality flaws, trying to prove they aren't right for each other.

Jiang Xun thinks he's made himself perfectly clear, but Tan Yu only puts headphones on him. They're playing a drama they recorded during the height of their romance, in which Tan Yu says "I love you" to him over and over.

Tan Yu says, "But I love you. My voice remembers it more clearly than we do."

Love doesn't need anything in return. The best way to return it is to let yourself enjoy the tender look your lover gives you.

On October 11, when the rain that had lasted for half a month finally stopped, the skies in Qiao Wenyu's heart cleared too.

Lin Xingshang, who had jumped from a building and lain in a vegetative state for three years, miraculously woke up.

Lin Xingshang was awake, but had lost all his memories. He couldn't move or speak, like a newborn child, and could only let others take care of him.

After Qiao Wenyu brings him home, Lin Xingshang locks eyes with the chubby cat covered in garlic-clove markings. The cat wears a puffy red flower around its neck, so ugly it's unbelievable.

The room is cozy, the bed has railings, every corner is covered with soft padding, and the floor has a plush carpet.

Lin Xingshang goes nowhere, staying at home with him every day. He patiently prepares nutritious meals for Lin Xingshang, helps him with rehabilitation, and teaches him to walk. He really does treat him like a little kid.

Later, Lin Xingshang learns from the television that Qiao Wenyu is a famous star. The star doesn't work often, and whenever he goes out to earn a little money, he spends it all on Lin Xingshang's treatment.

He stares through the thick glass at the pale face and closed eyes, clutching the gift he had meant to give Lin Xingshang and praying to the heavens.

He thinks, it doesn't matter. He just needs Lin Xingshang to survive. As long as Lin Xingshang is still alive, nothing else matters.
