The Professor's Candy Is the Sweetest

Teng Xueyan, the owner of Xinyan Entertainment, the domestic entertainment company with the greatest potential, has been revealed to have secretly married, making headlines in the entertainment news. A reporter asks why she chose a staid researcher as her wife.

Teng Xueyan says, “The more solemn a place is, the more it draws us unruly wildflowers in.”

Later, people uncover that the woman is no ordinary researcher. She's a visiting professor at the world's leading clinical medical school for medicinal fungi, and the medicines she's developed have saved countless lives. She's a national treasure, one of a kind in the country.

Someone interviews their high school classmates and asks what they think of the relationship.

A classmate says, “The two most promising students in our grade were roommates. I always knew they had a thing for each other.”

The people involved know best that it wasn't in high school that they got together, but on Teng Xueyan's thirtieth birthday.

A certain staid professor posted a marriage ad on her Moments, and Teng Xueyan happened to see it.

If she'd known that the post was visible only to her, perhaps she would have thought differently. Perhaps she would have realized that the person she had been pining for had been pining for her, too, for many years.
