Wen Zhao hurried to cooperate and set things right.

The plan was to fall out with Zheng Miaoning and then stay away from her.

Zheng Miaoning had been the center of attention ever since she was born.

But Wen Zhao deliberately turned the attention that belonged to her toward someone else, and Zheng Miaoning left in a huff.

In Wen Zhao's eyes, Zheng Miaoning is cutest when she's not in her right mind.

For example, after getting drunk, Zheng Miaoning's cheeks were flushed as she cried, "Sister Zhao, give me one more chance, okay?"

"I'll change. You can have other people in your eyes. I don't mind anymore."

Meeting those tear-filled eyes, Wen Zhao knew Zheng Miaoning was putting on an act, and that she would never change.

Wen Zhao gently kissed her eyes.

She chose to indulge her all the same.

Note: Zhao Zhao's feelings for Xiao Zheng are overwhelming. She loves her in a way that asks for nothing in return and gives everything. Xiao Zheng understands that she's one of a kind, and wants all of Zhao Zhao's love.

The romance is very unhealthy, with a mother-daughter dynamic reminiscent of East Asian families. Overall, it's sweet, with a happy ending.

The "mother-daughter" relationship is fictional, with no ethical issues. This is a world where same-sex couples can marry but cannot have children.
