Ying Yan was born with different-colored eyes and was ostracized by his classmates from childhood.

After he starts college, the uncle who raised him cuts ties with him. His roommates also avoid him, sometimes subtly, and though they aren't exactly malicious, they certainly don't have good intentions.

So Ying Yan applies to live off campus and rent a place with other people.

His roommate looks familiar: Xia Cong, the guy on the campus forum who supposedly keeps a snake in his bed.

Ying Yan is afraid of snakes, so he always shuts the door tight whenever he comes or goes.

But at night, he often senses a cold, damp presence winding around his chest, the side of his neck, his wrists, and his ankles.

The place where he works part-time is a chaotic mix of people. Someone forces him to drink a glass of liquor, and his body soon begins to burn.

Ying Yan runs away and bumps into a familiar figure outside the bar. Without a second thought, he hides behind the man, his teary eyes pitiful as he pleads, "Xia Cong, help me."

When he wakes up again, he's naked in the man's arms, with something pressing between his legs.

Ying Yan jolts upright and clutches the blanket, meeting the man's drowsy gaze.

Until the next time Xia Cong pins Ying Yan to the bed, Ying Yan sees in horror the tentacles waving through the air, controlled by Xia Cong and coiling around his body.

Xia Cong is the most successful experimental subject. He's outstanding in appearance and intellect, and his body will always remain twenty years old.

His one flaw is that he can't smell.

The first time he meets Ying Yan, Xia Cong is drawn to a scent that suddenly enters his nose.

When Ying Yan is asleep, he releases his tentacles, greedily savoring the newly awakened sense of smell.

Until one day, his roommate knocks on the door. The roommate's face still has Xia Cong's dried mucus on it as he cautiously complains, "Xia Cong, I think your snake got into my room. Last night it even wrapped around my thigh..."

The culprit pauses, stunned for a moment, then politely and tactfully apologizes.

But the tentacles hidden behind his back wave excitedly, as if reminding him of last night's wonderful sensation.

So that soft, warm skin was a man's inner thigh.
