Don't Be Afraid, I'm Just a Frail NPC

Jiang Ying lives in an ordinary city, leading an ordinary life.

She doesn't know when it began, but all sorts of strange things started happening around her:

Her adoptive parents both hanged themselves on a bridge.

A friend was inexplicably stabbed through the throat with a fountain pen.

A neighbor who kindly helped her move exploded in their bedroom.

A guy who hit on her was stabbed through the heart from behind in a sealed room.

At first, everyone who died had some connection to her.

Later, bizarre deaths began occurring all over the city, but no killer could be found.

Gradually, Jiang Ying realized something.

A group of people had appeared around them, existing in the city as consciousnesses, and she could see them.

They treated the people around them like ants, deciding who lived and who died, and taking lives without a second thought.

Later still, Jiang Ying figured out one thing for sure.

Those people came from a higher-dimensional world, and shared a single title: the Fourth Calamity.

...That sounds so cool!

Jiang Ying: "If I kill them, will I become the Fifth Calamity? QAQ"
