How to Handle a Sickly Yandere Demon God

After Xu Xingxing dies, she transmigrates into a book. The System tells her that if she can find all the endangered spirit beasts listed in the Bestiary, she can make one wish.

She quickly finds the first spirit beast, Huodou, and forms a beast contract with it, naming it Xiao Hei.

As they grow close and learn to understand each other, she comes to feel that Xiao Hei is the most considerate bonded spirit beast in the world.

But as his memories return, Xiao Hei grows increasingly cruel and bloodthirsty. He even grievously wounds cultivators and massacres innocent mortals.

She feels their values are simply incompatible, so she decides to break the beast contract and go their separate ways.

But just as she is about to leave, everything goes black and she faints. When she wakes, she is in an unfamiliar room, her hands and feet bound in iron chains.

The culprit is kneeling at her feet, eyelids lowered, wearing an expression of unprecedented obedience. Yet his pitch-black eyes are consumed by a madness that blots out the sky. He rubs her ankle with his thumb and says:

"Master, how could you bear to abandon me?"

He has had many names.

When he first became human, his exceptional beauty led to his imprisonment in a cage.

"Graceful as a startled swan, lithe as a swimming dragon, radiant as autumn chrysanthemums, flourishing as spring pines." Outside the cage, that person gazed at him with rapt adoration. "From now on, your name will be Chun Song."

Later, a cultivator discovered his unusual constitution, gouged out his eyes to use as medicine, and dismissively called him an ingredient.

After becoming a demon, he crushed a mountain with a casual gesture and destroyed an entire nation with the flick of a finger.

The Heavenly Secrets Pavilion divined that he was the last Heavenly Demon in the world, and also the last god. His name was Hou Yuan.

Later, he lost all his memories and became the spirit beast Huodou. The girl whose eyes seemed to brim with light always chattered at him and called him:

Xiao Hei.

At first, he found it terribly annoying. Later, he pinned her between the sheets and whispered in her ear over and over, almost pleading:

"Xingxing, call my name."

Bonus scene:

Xu Xingxing was always curious whether Xiao Hei's inner demon god could overcome the instinctive movements of his canine body.

So one morning after breakfast, while the two of them were cooling off in the courtyard, she secretly pulled out the frisbee beneath her and flung it with all her strength, sending it two li away.

While Xiao Hei stood there stunned, she shouted:

"Go! Fetch!"

When Xiao Hei came to his senses, his eyes were filled with amusement. He gave her a long look, the corner of his mouth lifting. Just as she started to feel uneasy and prepared to beg for mercy, he vanished with a slight movement.

The next second, the frisbee was back in her hand. Xiao Hei's voice was tinged with sweetness. "Master, I want to play some more."

After playing all day, Xu Xingxing went to bed early that night, ready to sleep. But in her half-conscious state, she was pulled into someone's arms. He bit her ear and spoke in a voice that tugged at her heartstrings:

"Master, now it's your turn to play with me."

"I have always been cold and unfeeling, but you made me feel compassion."

A few notes:

1. The male lead is almost always in human form, and he is not a good person.

2. The female lead is not entirely good, but she is not bad either.

3. One-on-one, both leads are each other's only partner.

4. Nothing else comes to mind. I'll add more if I think of anything.

She is exhausted and irritable every day, and her frustration keeps growing. A male friend who is a half-trained medium sees how listless she is and gently suggests, "How about we get a place together?"

An Zhaoxin considers the idea for a moment and says she'll think about it.

Who would have guessed that night, the moment she closes her eyes, a ghost will pin her down?

The presence clinging to her is many times damper than before, and she cannot even move her fingers. As her body trembles and she nears a furious, mortified breakdown, a boy's hoarse, resentful voice suddenly sounds by her ear:

"An Zhaoxin, don't you dare."

At first, the girl's approach only annoys Shao Yi. He doesn't believe that in a world where everyone hates ghosts, anyone could sincerely befriend a monster whose soul can leave his body at will. What's more, he is now being consumed by a vengeful ghost's obsession and often loses control of himself.

But the girl is just too sociable, always finding an opening to cozy up to him.

At first:

"The egg fried rice in the second cafeteria is really good. Want me to treat you?"

"Your earrings are so pretty! Do you have a link?"

And later:

"Can I borrow your jacket? I'm not wearing a bra... It's kind of showing..."

"Best friends always go to the bathroom together. Come with me, please? I'm a little scared..."

"Isn't it totally normal for best friends to share a bed? You looked cold, so I hugged you all night. Thoughtful, right? Do you love me?"

Shao Yi: ...

Just like that, he is "forced" to put up with her pushing her luck. Later, even as his corpse rots, he can't bear to leave her. Until someone starts pursuing her.

She holds up a photo and grins as she shares it with him. "Great features, eight-pack abs. Think I should give him a try?"

His surging rage instantly tears apart the inside of the corpse he inhabits. His soul burns, and he is nearly tortured to death.
