The Otherworldly Player Is a Demon God [Worlds Beyond + Genshin Impact]

This novel ends here. There will be no more updates.

Synopsis:

You are a player who transmigrated into the game Genshin Impact after dying. You are the last pillar holding this fragile world together. You are neither a Descender nor a native, but the “player” whose soul is closest to the twin Descenders.

In Sumeru, amid a hundred dreams, you remember your past life and teeter on the brink of collapse. A System from beyond the world offers you a contract, and in your desperate attempt to escape, you enter a new prison.

“You are a player. You will always be a player.”

The boy on the stretcher suddenly sat up and reached out toward you, dazed amid the crowd. “Auntie!”

Nurse: Please don’t move around!

The boy persisted: “Auntie!”

Nurse: Miss, are you related to the patient? Could you please help calm him down?

Dazed, you looked at the boy. As he gazed at you with desperate hope, you took his hand.

Man: Yi Yu, you’re finally awake.

Woman: Thank goodness you’re safe.

[Logic correction: Boy suffers a sudden crisis and is adopted → Boy escapes danger and has a happy family.]

Man: Who would’ve thought you’d run into your god-aunt at the scene of the accident? She’s been looking after you all this time while we were stretched too thin to stay with you.

Woman: Yes, we have her to thank for taking care of you.

The boy, Yi Yu, held your hand. His adoring gaze stayed fixed on you. “Thank you, Auntie.”

Note: This is an ambitious, long-form fanfiction series crossing over Genshin Impact and Beyond the World, with the Painted Traveler cast now included as well. The main setting is the world of Teyvat, with the world of Beyond the World as a secondary setting. The goal is to write a million-word fanfiction in which the male leads from Painted Traveler fall into the Abyss and become citizens of Teyvat, if I can keep going. Readers are welcome to imagine themselves as the protagonist, but with such a long story, it would be difficult to write the whole thing in first or second person, so “I” or “you” will inevitably have to be given a name. I’ll try to avoid that as much as I can.

Theme: Genshin Impact, Beyond the World, and Painted Traveler
