[Obscure Fandoms] A Bug Master Who Won't Sell Medicine Isn't a Good Taoist

A shipwreck left Xia Ye, who was already struggling financially, penniless and stranded on an island nation.

He knew nobody, and he couldn't speak the language either.

Fortunately, there were still plenty of good people around.

Grasping the great Onmyoji's hand, Xia Ye said gratefully, "Without your spiritual sight, I don't know how long it would have taken me to communicate with people!"

Ye Wang was stunned. This was the first time he had met someone with a clear spiritual platform, whose heart and words were in perfect accord.

Penniless and still owing the great Onmyoji money, Xia Ye asked tentatively, "Does selling medicine pay well?"

Setting down his exorcism sword, the medicine seller replied coolly, "It barely keeps food on the table."

"Then why waste money buying face paint?"

"...I make it myself."

Xia Ye nodded in agreement. "I knew it. If you've got a skill, you'll never starve."

Holding out his cigarette, Ginko glanced at the weather. It was going to rain soon. "This is a kind of mushi, too."

"Amazing. As long as you're alive, there's always something to look forward to."

"Fill those blank memories with new journeys." Looking up at the sky, Xia Ye urged him, "Come on, let's go. It's going to rain."

"All right."

A crossover between lesser-known series: Mononoke, Mushishi, and Shaman King. Ye Wang has an open crush, the medicine seller has a secret crush, and Ginko is somewhere between friends and lovers~

In the main story, Xia Ye is oblivious to romance. In the extra, a stone blooms (the one who was pursued finally gives in~), with the main character as the seme.

Warnings:

1. The historical settings are a jumble, but for the most part they are aligned with the Reign of Zhenguan and the Heian-kyo era.

2. I can't get the era-specific speech and mannerisms right, so the language is modern and colloquial, just a little more tactful at most.

Theme: Keep moving forward, and there will always be something to look forward to
