The World's Number One Striker? Starting as the Prison King!

[50% of chapters are locked; they become available after 24 hours. Updates every other day at 9 p.m. Occasional bonus updates on holidays and days off. If an update is late, there'll be a little extra scene.]

[Original title: [Blue Lock] Who's No. 1? Since the IP association wasn't clear, I changed it to a silly title. At its heart, this is a light, fluffy beginner-friendly story.]

[Silly version of the blurb:]

The world's best strikers are everywhere, the world's best midfielders are in groups, and the world's best defenders are lining up to make their debuts! The football world is about to be swept up in another frenzy!

Fans all agree: "These days, if you don't have a 'world's best' title, you can hardly call yourself a star!"

It all began with the Blue Project, personally created by Old Eight and affectionately nicknamed the Prison King Showdown by fans.

The world's best players shining in football today already showed signs of greatness in the very first Prison King Showdown.

The world's best defenders: Lorenzo, Aiku...

The world's best midfielders: Charles, Sae, Karasu...

And the world's best strikers: Kaiser, Rin, Isagi...

As well as the most glorious and special King of Football!

Wait a minute, why are there so many world's best players?

Everyone knows that it's perfectly reasonable for Schrödinger's Top 1 to be more than one person, right? XD

[Original title's regular blurb:]

Yog Melnick was born into a prominent family and blessed with exceptional talent, yet he was so easygoing and laid-back that even his naturally melancholic, lovable charm was diminished.

He watered the roses, and he passed the ball to the treasures.

As long as you're in the right position, he'll pass to you.

However...

"I don't really care what position I play."

Yog Melnick turned toward the crowd behind him and smiled. "But I'm sorry, you're not good enough yet to make me drop back."

After all, among the competition, forwards are always the most talented players.

The main story is romantic and suggestive; the bonus chapters have different endings. Main character is the top. Updates every other day.

Pairings: Kaiser, Sae, Noah, Karasu, Lorenzo, Bunny

Warnings:

1. I based Yog's football ability on Ronaldinho, so he's ridiculously overpowered. Fans who are fiercely devoted to the canon characters, please read with caution!

2. As you can tell from the pairings, the main cast gets relatively little screen time, and there's a lot of original plot. Please read with caution if that bothers you!

3. The real-world football scene is extremely homophobic, so I've set this story in a world where everyone is very open-minded about sexuality. There's no ABO setting or anything like that, so there'll be a love rivalry! Yay!

4. I'm a fake MAX-level fan, so there won't be much match description. I'll try to avoid major plot holes. I'm also a slice-of-life writer, so there'll be plenty of everyday scenes.

5. Out-of-character warning! Wildly mixed-up plot warning! Everyday scenes that read like a diary warning!

6. The author's understanding of the characters and plot mainly comes from the TV anime, with some details from the manga and news sites. If anything differs, feel free to point it out~

7. The different-ending bonus chapters can be interpreted however you like; some relationships will be mentioned only briefly.
