A dirt-poor sword cultivator wants nothing more than to enter the Immortal Sect Tournament and win the top prize: thirteen thousand taels of spirit stones.
Choose your retreat location:
A. Your free, assigned cultivation quarters (already rented to a fellow disciple, earning you 2 spirit stones a month)
B. Share a place with fellow disciples (1 spirit stone per quarter)
C. A mortal inn at the foot of the Immortal Sect (0.5 spirit stones per year)
The sword cultivator chooses D: Find a remote mountain forest and cultivate in seclusion. Cost: 0.
After three hundred happy years of freeloading, he emerges from seclusion only to find a giant spiderweb blocking his way.
On his first day meeting Miss Spider, the sword cultivator declares, "No matter how difficult things get, nothing will stop me from going to the Immortal Sect Tournament."
One month later, he insists, "I'll definitely set off for the Immortal Sect Tournament tomorrow."
One year later, he firmly believes, "It's fine if I missed this one. The countdown to the next one starts now!"
A hundred years later, the sword cultivator finally enters the Immortal Sect Tournament, as a judge.
Though he misses out on thirteen thousand taels of spirit stones, the sword cultivator gains a fluffy, slow-moving Miss Spider.
*How do you know my Miss Spider is beautiful, sweet-tempered, and great for building my strength?

Reader's Note
- Miss Spider is a fluffy, fastidious white little fairy spider. She loves spirit stones and fruit, and moves slowly. She has three forms: her original form, a half-human form, and a human form. The exact progress bar will unlock after the poor sword cultivator feeds her more spirit stones.
- A short, sweet little story. The start date depends on how much attention our fellow cultivators in the cultivation world give it.
