Floating in a Sea of Tenderness

Wei Hanzhi found irrefutable proof that her boyfriend was cheating with a director's daughter.

On a business trip in a foreign country, she drank herself senseless at a bar late into the night,

then broke down sobbing on the streets of Paris.

A black Maybach pulled up slowly. Polished leather shoes crushed through a puddle.

Through the rain, the man deigned to step into the neon-lit chaos, holding an umbrella.

"This is the man you picked?"

He gave a mocking laugh and wiped the tears from her face.

"Your taste is awful."

Hanzhi tried to turn away, but he gripped her chin and turned her back to him.

"What's the point of crying? Do you know how to get even?"

Hanzhi stared at him, stunned.

The man pressed his lips against her trembling red ones, his voice laced with temptation.

"For example, make his immediate superior your... new lover."

Drowning in his tenderness, she succumbed before she could make it to shore.
