The Garbage Bag's Heartfelt Thoughts

The instant I was made into a garbage bag, I was neatly displayed on a supermarket counter. All sorts of people passed by, but no one stopped for me.

Back then, I was young. I thought this was the best ending a garbage bag could hope for. When I had nothing to do, I liked keeping my seat spotless, listening to the lovely music coming from the ceiling, and chatting with my little companions about everyday life.

"Look, this is a special kind of garbage bag. It's environmentally friendly and biodegradable."

The young woman at the supermarket counter smiled as she patiently introduced my features to the people passing by.

"You're just a garbage bag. What's with all the showing off?" The gift bag standing not far from me said with a mocking edge. "It won't be long before you're mixed in with that stinking trash."
