Shen Yihuan had to put in quite a bit of effort to get close to Xie Zhiyou.
Everyone in their circle said that Mr. Xie of the Xie family had no interest in women, and had never been seen with a female companion.
His whereabouts were even more of a secret, and no one could get close to him.
Shen Yihuan got lucky and found the residence where he often stayed.
Every day, she wandered back and forth in front of his home.
One day, she went bare-faced and understated. The next, she was dressed up in a bold, glamorous style. On the weekend, she put her hair in twin tails and wore a frilly dress.
Eventually, the local police station took her in as a suspicious person.
That was when Shen Yihuan finally met Xie Zhiyou for the first time.
Noble and cold, he was exactly how she imagined the most powerful people in their circle would be.
She sat below him and looked up, saying, "Mr. Xie, I'm just captivated by your bearing. I wanted to see more of you."

Xie Zhiyou had always wanted to know what Shen Yihuan was really after.
Obedient and sensible, yet full of tricks. Even when they were intimate, she was like the finest actress, playing her part with passion and sincerity.
She told him every day, "Mr. Xie, I'm madly in love with you," but never once made a single request of him.
He thought the time wasn't right yet.
As long as her ambition remained unsatisfied, she wouldn't leave.
He never expected her to vanish without a trace one day. The night before, she had still been smiling brightly. Now she was gone, leaving behind only a note.
[Goodbye, Mr. Xie. Take care.]

At first, Xie Zhiyou was furious. He thought that if she ever showed up in front of him again, he would humiliate her without mercy.
But when the young woman clung to someone else's arm, smiling as she called him "Mr. Xie," all he wanted was to break that arm.
This was a sham romance, built on false affection. I acted with conviction, while you watched coldly from the sidelines.
So when the story reached its end, I left the stage and took my bow, but you couldn't leave your role behind.
