I Died the Year He Loved Me Most

My beloved died at eighteen. That was the year I loved her most.

Fu Xiuwu's final words.

When Fu Xiuwu was sixteen, he met someone he would never forget for the rest of his life.

She was like a wild weed, full of determination. Even though both her parents were dead and she had no one to rely on, she faced every day with a fighting spirit.

By then, Fu Xiuwu had already lost all hope of living. He didn't know how to go on.

Once he got hold of that lifeline, he would never let go.

He began to approach her and learn about her, but she kept her distance and was afraid of him.

Fu Xiuwu did everything he could to hide his dark and shameful past.

But the girl in front of him seemed to have eyes that could see everything.

She knew all about his past.

“Fu Xiuwu, that's not why I'm afraid of you.”

That night, the sky was dark, and thunder roared outside with the rain.

He heard the answer that broke his heart. “I won't live to see eighteen, because you caused my death.”

At twenty-six, Jiang Yalan used the identity of Sang Kui to travel back ten years, to when she was sixteen.

She approached her younger self and severed her dependence on Fu Xiuwu.

She began to stay away from the boy who had once caused her death. All she wanted was to live a good life.

But then she discovered a secret: the prodigy from ten years ago had a serious mental illness.

In middle school, he had been the class troublemaker, the hopeless case his teachers said would never amount to anything.

But he had been the top scorer on the high school entrance exam...

Sang Kui began approaching him and getting to know him. As they spent more and more time together, she finally understood what had really happened back then.

But she was running out of time.

The year they graduated from high school, rain poured from the sky.

Standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, Sang Kui smiled and asked him, “Would you be willing to have a relationship with me for three days?”
