A Salaryman's Portable Space [Healing]

Shao Yi'an is 29, capable at her job, diligent, and a classic introverted office worker stuck in the 996 grind.

Because she's responsible, honest, and sincere, people keep stabbing her in the back.

She bought a house in a year when prices were at their peak, saddling herself with a massive mortgage.

So even though the 996 schedule is taking a toll on her heart, she doesn't dare quit lightly.

Her blind date and she have missed each other again and again because of overtime.

So at last, he angrily breaks up with her and seeks a wealthy girl to marry.

After being stood up on a mountaintop and dumped, she finds herself teetering between unemployment and dropping dead from overwork...

Then she acquires a pocket space with a hill and a lake...

One rare, relaxing weekend, she goes hiking. At the summit, the sky stretches high and the land far and wide.

For a moment, the worries about work and life in her heart seem to be washed away by the gentle mountain breeze.

She thinks how wonderful it would be to climb a mountain and breathe fresh air every day, whenever she wanted.

And so this story came to be.

I hope this story brings a little warmth to you, who work so hard.

May every one of us working stiffs always have a pocket space of our own, unafraid of wind and rain.

Keep going.
