Can There Be Impostors in Infinite Games?

[Archived, building the world now. If you're interested, add it to your favorites~]

The latest games have been a little strange.

Dai Yu keeps running into all kinds of trouble while trying to clear them.

Sometimes he gets a doomed run from the start, sometimes mishaps keep cropping up along the way, and sometimes he gets completely turned around just before clearing the game.

Something's wrong. Very wrong.

One day, he finally couldn't take it anymore and opened the forum. Using his well-known ID, he made a post:

[Does anyone else feel like games have been especially hard to clear lately?]

The replies came flooding in.

[Woc! It's the big shot!]

[Aaaaaah! Boss! I want to be your dog!]

[Is that so? Maybe I've always just been bad at games.]

[Come to think of it, I feel the same way. It's not that the games have gotten harder, they just feel really awkward to play... My clear rate has dropped lately, too.]

[Don't even get me started! I'm a famous lone wolf. Last time I got a group instance, I figured there was no way I'd lose. But wow, my teammates kept throwing themselves into danger one after another. I was so mad I started laughing!]

[Me too! A couple of days ago, there was a two-player instance where players had to use clues to find their teammates. The game ended before I found mine! When I checked the replay, I found that my damn teammate had tried to be clever and stolen someone else's identity, making all four of us fail the mission!]

[Heh, have you ever had someone wreck the whole team right when you were about to clear the game? They turned around and sold out every teammate to the boss, saying they wanted to be the sole winner. Winner, my ass!]

Seeing so many people with similar problems, Dai Yu couldn't help frowning. Could it be a bug?

Suddenly, another reply appeared.

[What if I told you our game might have impostors now, ]

[...Just say you want me dead.]

[Does it have to be an impostor? (weakly.gif)]

[Can't it just be a bug? Should we submit a repair request?]

Later, all the players submitted requests to fix the bug, only to have them coldly rejected.

System notice: No bugs have been detected in the game. Players are advised to complete their missions!

Everyone's hopes shattered

Great. It's impostors. We're doomed!

Theme: Take each day seriously and live it well.
