// A ruthless, powerful emperor with a thunderous hand
× A gentle, jade-like physician with an exquisite, unworldly bearing
In the second year of the Xinzheng era, the realm was in turmoil, and the kingdoms waged war without end.
After a disastrous mistake on the battlefield, Huo Zhao, Crown Prince of Chu, was trapped alone and nearly died at the hands of the Rongdi.
On the brink of death, he was saved by a country physician.
When he opened his eyes again, snow drifted past the window, and a pair of clear, bright eyes gazed back at him.
The months they spent together in the clinic were poor but warm and carefree. They were the most precious days of his life.
But a vast gulf of status stood between them.
All feasts must come to an end.
Then, at year's end, war returned. The hands they had clasped so tightly were finally torn apart by the crowd.
Hooves pounded the earth, while rain and snow fell in torrents.
The chaotic flood of refugees separated their two fates.
On and on we travel, farther and farther apart, until we part for life.
Emperor Gong × Physician Shou

Reader's Guide:
1. This is a very common story about picking up a husband.
2. An old-fashioned story with plenty of sweetness.
3. The shou has an exceptionally gentle temperament. If that's not your thing, please don't read.
4. I still don't like revealing too much in the blurb. If I wrote it all out, reading the story itself wouldn't be as fun. The blurb may seem angsty, but the story isn't.
5. One-on-one romance; happy ending.
Theme: Love bravely.
