Halfway through their second year, a student advisor suddenly joined Teiko's basketball club.

Gen Meixue, AKA the heiress of the Gen family, was armed with holographic tech no one had ever seen before, as well as marvelous little tricks for awakening talent directly from brain to brain.

The advisor smiled every day and sparkled from head to toe, but the precise curve of her lips was a little unsettling.

"I'm not interested in basketball. I'm only here to handle after-sales support for my family's smart devices," she once declared with conviction.

Until one day, the gentle girl punched a basketball hoop to pieces.

The advisor: "Could you repeat, 'The only person who can beat me is myself'?"

Some dark-skinned ace: "...The only opponent who can beat me is my holographic clone. Didn't you make that thing?"

The advisor: "And, 'I don't want to listen to anyone weaker than me.'"

Some purple-haired center: "QAQ I've always listened to you, Gen-chan."

The advisor: "Anyone who defies me, even my parents, is unforgivable. Let's put that aside for now. Get someone else out here to talk."

Some heterochromatic-eyed captain: "Why can't it be me?"

How had an ordinary basketball club ended up with players turning dark or splitting into multiple personalities? It was because the young geniuses were so talented that they had no worthy opponents.

Faced with this kind of humblebrag problem, Gen Meixue rummaged through the gadgets on her starship.

No opponents?

As an alien, she had technology and methods to spare.

For example, she could organize an online basketball tournament spanning every country, accessed through brain-computer interfaces.

And so, that year, the Holographic Basketball Hyperrealm League officially began. Talented players from all over the world gathered in one place, crossing the barriers of space.

That same year, the strongest Generation of Miracles team brought their trophy to Gen Meixue.

Just as she was happily preparing to sail away, six invitation letters were handed to her.

"Would you keep being our advisor?"

Years later, just before the opening of a new Hyperrealm tournament, a link suddenly appeared in the long-silent group chat.

The young man who was no longer the sixth man said nothing. He just kept working on Miss Gen's schedule for the day, avoiding every suspicious person.
