The Tenth Year After My Husband's Death

[World-weary, lonely shou × chivalrous, righteous gong] | Mutual salvation | Unaware of their own love | Best friends and lovers

Li Shuoxue was born a bringer of misfortune, and his father and mother died because of him. His only close friend, Zhao Yuke, also died because of him.

Li Shuoxue didn’t shed a single tear. He held an extravagant funeral and invited heroes from across the land, then used his sword to kill every hypocritical villain who was cold-blooded and ungrateful.

He watched indifferently as everyone shouted that he was a monster and fled in all directions. Gently wiping the blood from the memorial tablet, he followed his friend into death.

When he opened his eyes again, Li Shuoxue realized he had returned to ten years earlier, when he was a carefree young man, sword in hand and roaming the world.

More importantly, his close friend Zhao Yuke was still alive, and doing just fine.

After his death, Zhao Yuke was reborn into a world that was no longer the same as it had been ten years ago. The name Tang Lixue was now synonymous with endless slaughter.

The bright young man who had once traveled everywhere with him had become a murderous demon everyone wanted dead.

He had killed all of Li Shuoxue’s enemies, dragging his sickly body across the world in search of the rare flower seeds Li Shuoxue had casually mentioned, and spent ten years guarding his sword and memorial tablet.

Late at night, Li Shuoxue would cover his mouth and cough up blood. At last, he opened his heart to Zhao Yuke: “I couldn’t save him, and I can’t save myself. I should have followed him long ago.”

Later, Zhao Yuke pleaded, eyes red: “Li Shuoxue, live on, if only for me.”
