The Mute Was Offered to the Tentacled Mountain God

Rural Life * Feudal Values * Delicate Mute * Tentacled Nonhuman * Sweet, Satisfying Romance

Qiao Qingxi was born a young master and had enjoyed a smooth life, until disaster struck. His family went bankrupt and was liquidated, and he, unable to speak, was sent back to his family's old home in the countryside.

The superstitious villagers decided he had defied his destined marriage and forcibly offered him to the Mountain God as a bride.

Unwilling to go along with it, Qiao Qingxi was tied up alone in a dilapidated bridal chamber. On the night the Mountain God took human form, he kicked and thrashed at the shadow before him, only for a long, slender hand to gently grasp his ankle.

A strange male voice, its words broken and halting, asked him:

[Did you kick so hard that your little foot hurts?]

After the Mountain God freed him, Qiao Qingxi, who didn't believe in fate, insisted on offending the deity. He slapped the Mountain God across the face.

The Mountain God only laughed, extending several cold, damp tentacles to curl around his slender wrists. In an ancient tongue, he said:

[Thank you.]

#When your wife slaps you, the first thing to waft over is her scent~ If your wife hits you, remember to thank her for the reward~#

#A mute who can't speak teaches the Mountain God to "talk," while a god who isn't human teaches the villagers how to "act human" for the mute#
