A Night's Draft Through the Little Temple

Also known as: My Daily Compatibility with an Ancient Emperor

Wang Lingbi looked at the Jin emperor of old, once so exalted and revered, and saw nothing more than a symbol of a dynasty, a speck of dust in the currents of history.

Her gaze was light and carefree. She seemed to show great respect for this exalted, powerful noble.

In truth, it had long been clear that there was no room in her eyes for anyone.

She did not belong to this era, and planned to play her way through life.

It was simply another form of conceited "arrogance."

Zhao Ceqing decided to strike a heavy blow against her.

This noblewoman from a declining aristocratic family seemed to have forgotten that she, too, was one of the privileged.

If he made a home in her heart and filled it with intricate schemes, would she still look at him as if he were nothing but distant clouds and mist?

Wang Lingbi had never expected that, though she regarded this dynasty and era that did not belong to her with reverence and distance, the Jin emperor would take an interest in her and harbor improper thoughts.

Most outrageous of all, at some point he seemed to have acquired a certain ability.

Through dreams, feigned sleep, or moments of distraction, he could sometimes see where Wang Lingbi had come from and what her past had been.

How was that any different from having her underwear searched in person?!

Zhao Ceqing: A secret? Hah, it's nothing worth mentioning.

In short: A feudal emperor sets his sights on a young lady who has shut herself off from love and thinks she's doing a great job hiding it. He uses force and schemes to make sure the heroine falls desperately in love with him. (But?)

"A night breeze drifts through the little temple, yet the lonely mountain draws a flood."
