That is, until Si Kui really does gather troops from the depths of the imperial palace, attack the capital, restore imperial authority, and win the people's hearts.

Unwilling to face defeat, the ruthless regent kills himself in his bedchamber. A great fire burns for three days and three nights, leaving nothing behind.

Yu Feiyu eyes the ankle chain and brandishes a gold lock as he demands, "Come on, man. Is this right?"

World 3 [Jilted Dragon-Blooded Prodigy and Aloof Immortal Venerable]

Si Kui is the dragon-blooded prodigy who gets dumped, humiliated, and climbs the sect's steps to ask for a master. Yu Feiyu is the aloof Immortal Venerable who cares nothing for worldly affairs.

The former gets a Dragon King Returns plot, while the latter gets a role in which he treats everything with indifference.

Yu Feiyu: "At last, I can rest. Leave me alone."

That is, until Si Kui finds opportunities at every turn, makes friends wherever he goes, meets many promising companions and renowned powerhouses, and becomes a hot new star in the cultivation world.

The Immortal Venerable who was supposed to get face-slapped and make a comeback is revered everywhere and courted by every faction, all hoping to get an introduction to his disciple.

Yu Feiyu pushes away his disciple, who is asking for a kiss and praise. "Come on, man. Is this right?"

Back from the small worlds, Yu Feiyu runs around hiding and evading him. "Straight guy. Don't bother me."
