The Female Lead Has White Knight Syndrome

Kong Yan has a little money and is generous, but she has a certain unspeakable kink.

Her doctor friend: You have White Knight Syndrome. Give it a rest, will you?

Kong Yan, guiltily: Y-you, how can you say such nonsense? I just like helping people.

The boys and girls she's helped: Exactly! What a charlatan. Sister Kong is just a nice person, so don't go making things up.

The male lead, crawling around in the shadows: I thought you only liked me. I didn't know you cared about the whole forest.

Kong Yan arranged the best tutors for Liang Cheng and supported him all the way through college, doing everything she could for him.

She was very pleased to see him shine at university, but she'd also lost interest.

When she walked Liang Cheng back to his dorm, Kong Yan saw his roommate.

A slim, tall, quiet young man in a faded denim shirt, holding a book, gentle and reserved.

Kong Yan's illness flared up again.

Sheng You: Thanks for the referral ^^

Note:

1. We've seen plenty of male White Knights, so here's a female one. Don't overthink it; it's just for laughs, a self-indulgent work written for my own enjoyment.

The following is from Baidu:

White Knight Syndrome is a psychological disorder characterized by an intense desire to rescue and protect others. People with the condition often enjoy helping others through difficult times, but in doing so, they are also trying to save themselves. It is an extreme psychological problem, and professional help should be sought promptly.

2. Probably a male-rivalry story.

3. Older woman-younger man romance, though men older than the female lead may also be involved in the love rivalry.

4. Don't romanticize any illness. If you discover any physical or mental health issues, seek medical care promptly.

5. Short story, writing practice.

Theme: Helping others is helping yourself
