Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, received a letter three years after his debut, informing him that he had a daughter.
The bad news was that the letter, addressed to his public identity, had been delivered to his secret identity instead. Worse, his ex-girlfriend had joined a cult and was preparing to sacrifice their daughter to summon an evil god.
Batman: ??
Batman: !
Batman raced over and broke down the door, only to see an image that left him unable to breathe.
The room was splattered with blood. His daughter, who should have been just a month old, looked six years old now. She sat innocently in the middle of the room, right where the blood was thickest, and looked at him.
As for the pile of meat nearby, as if someone had left their scraps behind... He thought of his ex-girlfriend, who should have been in the room but had inexplicably disappeared.
He fell silent.
[First encounter with Gotham: Gotham is a wonderful place, rich in talent and opportunity. By now, you must have realized that, even though you've only just arrived. See that big bat who just broke down the door? He might lead you to your biological father. You know the drill. Looks like your trip to Gotham won't be ending anytime soon, so... welcome to Gotham.]
The player who rolled the misfortune trait from the start: ? :)
1. Player as a fourth calamity, plus Bat-kid, but with a reversed timeline.
2. No CP.
3. There will be dark humor and graphic descriptions, but the player's perspective is lighthearted.
4. The player will die a lot.
Theme: A tribute to heroes.
