I, Carlton Drake, am an utterly ordinary president, CEO, and heir and executive of the Life Foundation.
A lot of people probably don't know who I am. After all, when people think of a Drake, they're probably thinking of the third son of the richest man in the neighboring city.
That's fine. I feel the same way.
An utterly ordinary president doesn't need much attention. With my colleagues' excessive "excellence" as a foil, I've worked diligently for years and managed to make keeping a low profile my number-one principle in life. Whenever the media mention me, even the Daily Planet, they describe me in just two words: low-key.
That's right. I'm a man of substance.
Unlike those hedonistic, frivolous board members, CEOs with troubled homes, chairmen who want to run for president and pick fights with the world and Superman, chairmen who publicly announce that they're some kind of superhero, or executives who secretly research biotechnology and end up bringing Doctor Octopus into existence, I...
I, Carlton Drake, am a boss who goes against the grain of the mainstream media, the kind of boss employees can trust most. I won't suddenly go off to save the world in the middle of work, vanish right after saying a few words, disappear for weeks at a time, or make my subordinates work all night to squeeze in a packed schedule.
All these years, I've worked hard to make money, create value in my brief life, and give back to Earth and humanity.
I love my position, my gold coins, and my work.
Nothing could make me give up the inheritance my parents left me.
That's what I used to believe.
Until I sent my rocket out of Earth's orbit. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to invade outer space or study aliens.
Earth's living conditions have been getting worse over the years, and I thought that if things got bad enough, relocating to another planet might not be a bad idea. So many aliens find Earth habitable. Why couldn't we move somewhere else?
I never expected my loyal subordinates to fail to find a suitable planet for us in space, but to happily bring me the "residents" of a comet instead.
Oh, they called them specimens: "symbiotes."
Me, suddenly confronted with aliens in my subordinates' hands: ...???
P-put it back!!! (Screaming)
I'm going to mutate!! (Screaming in anguish)
As everyone knows, no CEO can escape being changed by aliens. These days, any corporate boss who's encountered aliens either becomes a hero or a villain.
Seeing a familiar alien, a familiar name, and familiar experiments, I finally remembered that I'm not quite so ordinary after all. In a certain movie, I'm the villain who researches humans and alien symbiotes :)
But I didn't succeed, because my symbiote got beaten to a pulp by its dad.
...Emmm, hard to say.
Whatever. I don't know what to do, so I'll turn evil first.
Another warning that I'm terrible at writing blurbs. The timeline in this story is a complete mess, and the crossover is a grab bag of all sorts of things.
I originally wanted to put this under No CP, but Riot and the protagonist are inseparable, so I'm going with pure romance. If the protagonist has a CP, it's the symbiote Riot. If you don't think being one symbiotic entity counts as dating, then it's No CP!
OOC is on me, the glory belongs to the original work (?)
A wild, silly parody and roast!
